Avoca airs concerns about Bayou Chene project

A company that owns land on Avoca Island has concerns about the alleged potential adverse impact the Bayou Chene Flood Control and Diversion Project could have on the island as company officials prepare for restoration efforts. Scott Nesbit, senior wetlands ecologist for Natural Resource Professionals in Baton Rouge, spoke during Thursday’s St. Mary Levee District Commission meeting in Morgan City.
