Area businesses help with Puerto Rico recovery

Some Tri-City area businesses are doing work to help bring vital infrastructure back to Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria devastated the U.S. territory and island in September. On Tuesday, workers near Siracusaville were loading about 150 pieces of equipment onto a 300-foot long by 100-foot wide barge bound for San Juan, Puerto Rico. The equipment was electrical related including service trucks and trailers meant to help assist Puerto Rico in its recovery from Hurricane Maria, said Lee Babin, co-owner of Morgan City Stevedores.
