Another river crest expected in March

Just a couple of weeks removed from the latest crest on the Atchafalaya River, officials are already expecting another crest within a few more weeks. The Atchafalaya River at Morgan City crested at about 6 1/2 feet in late January. That crest had a minimal impact on the area, though, necessitating just a couple of floodgate closures.
