A group of St. Mary business people heard Monday from Eddie Rispone, the businessman challenging Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards' re-election bid. Whether Rispone or fellow Republican Ralph Abraham, a north Louisiana congressman, can unseat Edwards is a question for voters to answer this fall.
One thing is certain now: Rispone isn't looking for the trial attorney endorsement.
When Rispone talked Monday to the St. Mary Industrial Group at the Petroleum Club of Morgan City, he was generally sharper in his attacks on Edwards than Abraham was in a SMIG appearance last month.
