Bayou Vista man gets probation for assault

A Bayou Vista man has been sentenced to serve probation after entering a plea deal in connection with a September 2018 incident when he allegedly threatened and attacked law enforcement and emergency personnel. Paul Lavergne, 54, of Bayou Vista, pleaded no contest Monday to a charge of aggravated assault on a peace officer.
