Dear St. Mary Parish School Board Member: Our organization, St. Mary Excel, exists to “advocate for economic growth that advances educational and cultural offerings.” We recognize the significant impact of school boards in economic and community growth. Our community also recognizes the importance of school boards in growth as evidenced by a 2017 St. Mary Parish Chamber of Commerce Quality of Life Survey. Almost all (89.4 percent) of the 340 respondents recognized the importance of communicating a K-12 system educational plan for community growth.
