Staff Report Hancock Whitney Bank announced the pending closure of nine MidSouth bank branches last week, a result of Whitney’s pending acquisition of Lafayette-based MidSouth. Meanwhile, Whitney is urging customers at Morgan City’s MidSouth branch, 1015 Brashear Ave., to “visit our nearby financial center … at 1100 Brashear Ave., Morgan City” when “the merger is complete,” according to information posted by Whitney online.
