Thursday was orientation day for the St. Mary Parish School Board, including five new members who are taking office as a result of the Nov. 8 election. Board members were introduced to members of the Central Office Complex administration, got some facts and figures about the system's budget, and heard from attorney Bob Hammonds about ethics requirements and the powers and duties of school board members.
