The aftermath of a couple of hard freezes in the Morgan City area caused a significant number of busted water pipes and made the city’s water pressure drop Thursday, according to city officials.
All St. Mary Parish public schools and school board offices will re-open Friday, Superintendent Leonard Armato confirmed Thursday afternoon.
Traffic near La. 70 near the U.S. 90 overpass was diverted Thursday morning after a large spool of cable, being transported on a flatbed truck, struck the underside of the overpass.
