Madise welcomed as new Court Massabielle member

Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Massabielle 1134, welcomed Latoya Madise as its newest member during the organization’s October meeting. Catholic Daughters of the Americas is one of the oldest and largest organizations of Catholic women, ages 18 and older, promoting the motto of “Unity and Charity” and the mission of “justice, equality, and the advancement of human rights and human dignity for all.” The next Court Massabielle meeting is Nov. 15 at 6:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cafeteria, located at 318 Third St. in Morgan City. Deceased members will be remembered when the Court holds its annual memorial for deceased members. At the October meeting were, from left, the Rev. Wilfredo Decal, chaplain; Margaret Kreider; Madise; Veronica Governale, regent; Barbara Strader, secretary; and Betsy Grizzaffi, financial secretary.
