First Cousins music documentary viewing set March 22

The Jeanerette Museum will present a free viewing of the documentary, “First Cousins: Cajun and Creole Music in South Louisiana,” at 6 p.m. March 22. This film explores the musical heritage of the region’s French-speaking people who have shared tunes, borrowed instruments and danced in each other’s arms for generations, according to the museum’s news release. In the documentary, some of the region’s most beloved musicians reveal the passion they share for making music and carrying on family traditions.
