Cervus-Hephaestus Queens' Club holds social
The annual Cervus-Hephaestus Queens’ Club Social was held Feb. 25 at Café Jo Jo’s in Morgan City.
The focus of the social was to honor Queen Hephaestus LVI Sissy Cheramie Daigle and her mother Donna Cheramie. Mary EIlen Ruiz Stegall presented Daigle with a Cervus-Hephaestus Queens’ Flag.
King Hephaestus LVI Dr. Robert Bourgeois and Captain Tim Matte toasted the honored queen, past queens and their mothers. Mothers of past queens are invited by their daughters to join in the celebration of reminiscing about their reigns and past courts.
The Cervus-Hephaestus Queens’ Club was established to recognize the female monarchs who ruled over the Cervus and Hephaestus organizations’ Mardi Gras celebrations.
