BATON ROUGE — Cleaning up damaged homes after a hurricane can make homeowners feel in a rush and daunted.
The 2020 hurricane season has been an incredibly active and destructive. While hurricanes are inevitable, some of the destruction is preventable.
According to the National Weather Service Hurricane Center in Miami, Tropical Depression 13 is moving west-northwest at 21 mph with little change of strength as of the 5 a.m. advisory.
“We’re doing all we can to be prepared,” said Morgan City Mayor Frank “Boo” Grizzaffi Friday afternoon as he watched pumps being added at Pump Station 4 near Veterans Boulevard.
