The Patterson Lumberjills and Berwick Lady Panthers had one player each selected to the All-District 8-3A second-team.
CENTERVILLE’S RACHEL LEBLANC belts two-run homer during Tuesday’s action in Centerville. The Centerville Lady Bulldogs took a 2-1 lead over Highland Baptist on LeBlanc’s homer Thursday at Lady Bulldog Field. Final stats were not known as of presstime.
FRANKLIN’S JARIUS BOYD lines an RBI-single Tuesday at the Hornets Baseball Field. Franklin played host to the Houma Christian Warriors. Final stats were not reported prior to presstime.
LADY HORNETS KAIRA BUTLER AND BRIANNA BOWIE practiced the javelin before the running of the Foster/Perry Relays at J. C. Dry Stadium at Franklin Senior High School. Butler won the high jump (4-4) and the javelin (94-0) and finished second in the triple jump (30-6).
The 11-12 Centerville Biddy Basketball All-Stars Team captured the 2017 Boys 12-year-old Regional 1 Championship this past weekend in Opelousas, improving their record to 22-3.
