Berwick High School and Highland Baptist won the boys’ and girls’ team titles, respectively, at the John Melvin Relays March 22 at Berwick High School.

Morgan City High School had one representative make the All-District 7-4A Boys Basketball First Team.

The Central Catholic HIgh School girls bowling team will begin postseason play Thursday when it meets Holden in regional-round action at All-Star Lanes in Baton Rouge. Central Catholic is the No. 10 seed, while Holden is the No. 7 seed. The girls bowling teams at Central Catholic and Morgan City High schools will begin Louisiana High School Athletic Association Girls’ bowling playoff action Thursday at All-Star Lanes in Baton Roug

Berwick tops Patterson 10-6

The Berwick High School softball team jumped out to a big lead and held off a late Patterson rally for a 10-6 District 8-3A victory in Berwick Tuesday.
