Central Catholic had one girl and one boy competitor reach the podium to highlight its day in Class 1A action Friday during the Allstate Sugar Bowl/Louisiana High School Athletic Association Outdoor Track and Field State Meet at LSU’s Bernie Moore Track Stadium. Central Catholic’s Sydney Williams finished as state runner-up in the girls discus, while Tyler O’con finished third in the boys’ javelin. Williams finished as runner-up in the discus with a heave of 104 feet, 4.5 inches.
