The Morgan City High School boys basketball team won their sixth straight contest with a 59-38 victory against White Castle in first-day action at New Iberia’s tournament.
Morgan City outscored White Castle in every quarter, taking a 19-10 lead after a period of play, a 34-19 halftime advantage and a 48-30 lead heading to the fourth period.
Jared Singleton led Morgan City with 17 points, while Ke’Sean Francois added 13. Other Morgan City scorers were Kerwin Francois and Taaj Daniels, nine each, Tywaun Walker, seven, and Morrquise Charles, four.
