Three area teams hit the diamond for postseason play Tuesday

Staff Report Three of the Tri-City Area’s four softball teams will participate in first-round playoff games Tuesday afternoon. Morgan City, Central Catholic and Patterson all will be in action, with Morgan City and Central Catholic playing their games at home. Morgan City (21-4), Class 4A’s top-ranked squad, will host No. 32 seed Edna Karr (11-8) at 5:30 p.m., while Central Catholic (20-5), Division IV’s No. 3 seed, will host No. 14 seed Ecole Classic at 5:30 p.m. at the Bayou Vista Community Center.
