Pitre tosses two-hit shutout as MCHS wins

Freshman Chris Pitre tossed a two-hit shutout, and Morgan City defeated South Terrebonne, 8-0, in District 7-4A action in Morgan City Thursday. In seven innings, Pitre surrendered two walks, hit three batters but fanned six to earn the win. Offensively, Morgan City scored two runs in the second, five in the third and one in the sixth. The Tigers outhit South Terrebonne, 6-2, while the Gators committed five errors. Colden Comeaux and Morrquise Charles led Morgan City’s offense.
