Patterson's Pinhos place second at state

The Patterson High School fishing team duo of Hayden Pinho and Hunter Pinho finished as state runner-up in the Louisiana B.A.S.S. high school title April 29. The duo combined for a five-bass limit weighing 12.83 pounds. Because of their top-two finish, the Pinhos have earned spots in the B.A.S.S. high school national championship June 19-24 on Kentucky Lake near Paris, Tennessee. At the state tournament, teams could elect to fish either the Verret Basin or the Atchafalaya Basin. Ninety-two teams qualified to fish the state tournament.
