The Patterson High School boys basketball team opened its season with an 84-71 win against South Terrebonne Tuesday at home.
Patterson outscored the Gators in three of four quarters.
While Patterson took a 22-9 lead after a period of play, South Terrebonne countered in the second quarter with a 28-15 scoring advantage to tie the game at 37 at the break.
Patterson took a 60-54 lead after three quarters after outscoring the Gators 23-17 in the third period before finishing the game with a 24-17 scoring advantage in the fourth quarter.
