The Patterson High School boys basketball team opened its season with an 84-71 win against South Terrebonne Tuesday at home. Patterson outscored the Gators in three of four quarters. While Patterson took a 22-9 lead after a period of play, South Terrebonne countered in the second quarter with a 28-15 scoring advantage to tie the game at 37 at the break.
