No. 9 Morgan City High School will hit the road for the second-round of the Class 4A playoffs when it travels to meet No. 8 Edna Karr Tuesday at 7 p.m.
While Morgan City (25-6) enters the regional round after surviving an upset bid from No. 24 Livonia, 59-56, Friday, Karr (19-14) eased past first-round foe, No. 25 Franklin Parish, 72-32, Friday.
The Cougars jumped out to a 24-1 lead after a quarter, led 43-13 at halftime and 61-21 after three quarters.
Defensively, Karr forced 24 turnovers, and Franklin Parish had just 11 field goals.
