The Morgan City High School Lady Tigers fell to defending Division II state champion Parkview Baptist 9-1 in Baton Rouge Monday.
Parkview scored three runs, in the bottom of the first inning.
While Morgan City cut its deficit to 3-1 in the top of the third, it could get no closer as Parkview plated three runs apiece in the fifth and sixth innings.
Parkview outhit Morgan City 14-6.
