Morgan City defeats Patterson for 1st win

The Morgan City Lady Tigers defeated the Patterson Lumberjills 56-37 at Patterson Tuesday. Morgan City took a 15-8 lead after a quarter, led 30-15 at halftime and 44-23 after three periods of play. Deryon Johnson led three Lady Tigers in double figures with 20 points. Other Morgan City scorers were Nikeisha Paddio, 17; Haylie Crappell, 16; Jaela Robinson, two; and Nari Clark, one. Nyla Phillips led Patterson with 14 points. Other top Patterson scorers were Zorrie Spain, 11; Brianna Simon, six; and Randalyn Paul, Akyah Johnson and Kailani Harris, two each.
