MCHS will be competing in two events at state meet

Morgan City High School will compete in two events in Class 4A at Saturday’s Louisiana High School Athletic Association/Allstate Sugar Bowl Track and Field Meet. Morgan City senior Deondre Grogan will compete in the 400-meter run, while the Tigers will send their 4x200-meter relay to state. Grogan is seeded seventh in the 400-meter run with a time of 50.64. “He’s much stronger this year. … He’s practicing a whole lot better this year,” Morgan City High School Assistant Track and Field Coach Denver Chapman said of Grogan. “He’s our leader at practice.” This is Grogan’s second year competing at state in the 400.
