The Morgan City High School track and field teams qualified competitors in five events for regional competition during the District 7-4A Championships at Assumption High School Wednesday.
Morgan City’s performances were led by one first-place finish in boys’ and girls’ action.
The Tigers’ Deondre Grogan won the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.59, while the Lady Tigers’ Jacelyn Bouillon won the shot put with a toss of 29 feet, 6 inches.
Morgan City had one more qualifier on the boys’ side as Zion Landry finished third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.99.
