MCHS Lady Tigers enduring tough soccer season

It’s been a tough year for the Morgan City Lady Tiger soccer team. The squad (1-15-2 overall, 0-3 in district) won its season opener against South Lafourche 6-0 but hasn’t reached the win column since. Of the Lady Tigers’ losses, though, three have been by one goal. Morgan City also has tied two games, most recently a 1-1 draw at Runnels in nondistrict action Thursday. Morgan City has not been plagued by youth this season, Coach Trevor Patterson said. It’s simply that they are behind other teams because they don’t play soccer year-round in organized leagues like players from other teams do.
