Patterson High School will conclude its season Friday when it hosts Lutcher in District 9-3A action.
The game also will be the last for head coach Don Jones, who said Wednesday night he is retiring following the game.
Jones said he informed Patterson Principal Lane Larive of the decision approximately a month ago and told his team a few weeks ago.
Jones said when he took the Patterson job, he told Larive that he would “give him two years” as head coach, and Jones said he’s done his best in that time frame.
