The Central Catholic Eagles defeated South Lafourche 50-47 Saturday at Patterson High’s annual Core Physical Therapy and Sports Performance Lumberjacks Invitational. Central Catholic took an 11-7 lead after a quarter, led 22-16 at halftime and 34-29 after three periods of play. Taylor Blanchard led three Eagles in double figures with 17 points. Other Central Catholic scorers were Tyler Smith, 13; D.J. Lewis, 10; Davidyione Bias, eight; and Demondrick Blackburn, two.
