Eagles edge VC 1-0 in 8 innings

On any given day in baseball, all a team needs is one run. That’s all Central Catholic got Thursday night, but it was enough to propel the Eagles to a 1-0 shutout victory in extra innings against Vermillion Catholic in Amelia. After seven innings of scoreless ball from starting pitchers Trent Hillen of Central Catholic (17-7) and Andrew Marceaux of Vermillion Catholic (15-7), the Eagles finally cashed in, in the eighth inning.
