Eagles are undefeated at their tournament

Central Catholic finished 3-0 at its tournament, defeating H.L. Bourgeois, Patterson and Loreauville. Central Catholic defeated H.L. Bourgeois, 9-0, Thursday; Patterson, 12-2, Friday; and Loreauville, 11-1, Saturday. Against Loreauville, the Eagles scored 11 unanswered runs after the Tigers plated a run in the top of the first inning. Central Catholic scored six runs in the second, two runs each in the third and fourth innings and a single run in the fifth to invoke the 10-run mercy rule. Blake Hidalgo earned the win for Central Catholic. In five innings, he surrendered one unearned run on three hits and fanned five.
