Central Catholic’s Division IV first-round boys basketball game with Highland Baptist was over almost from the start as the Eagles jumped out to a big first-quarter lead and never were threatened en route to a 76-31 victory Thursday in Morgan City.
Central Catholic (15-14) led 27-6 after a quarter, 42-12 at halftime and 60-22 after three quarters.
