Central Catholic High School edged North Vermilion, 1-0, in action at Nicholls State University Monday. The Eagles scored the game’s lone run, which was unearned, in the bottom of the third. On the mound, senior Blake Hidalgo pitched a complete game for the win. In seven innings, he surrendered four hits and struck out eight.
