Central Catholic High School’s offense may have put up 26 points in its victory against Centerville as part of Thursday’s Taco Bell Jamboree, but the Morgan City school’s defense stole the show.
Not only did the Eagles pitch a shutout but they limited Centerville to 25 yards of offense — all rushing — on 25 carries.
Centerville had negative total yardage for much of the game and didn’t climb to the plus side until its final drive of the night, which was its most successful as the Bulldogs moved the ball deep into Central Catholic territory.
