CCHS defeats MCHS 51-40

The Central Catholic Lady Eagles defeated the Morgan City Lady Tigers 51-40 in basketball action at Morgan City High Monday. Yani Johnson led Central Catholic with 26 points. Other Central Catholic scorers were Laurielle Bias, 11; Caitlyn Picou, seven; Jade Oliney, four; and Kamille Lightfoot, two. Deryon Johnson led Morgan City with 15 points. Other top Morgan City scorers were Haylie Crappell, nine; Anaria Clark, eight; Nikeisha Paddio, six; and Ta’Lea Smith, two. Friday, Morgan City fell to Abbeville 44-29 on the road.
