Berwick will travel to Brusly in first round

The Berwick High School Panthers will begin the Class 3A basketball postseason Friday when it travels to face Brusly High in first-round action at 7 p.m. Berwick enters the contest as the No. 18 seed, while Brusly is No. 15. This year’s playoff appearance is believed to be the first time the Panthers have made the postseason in basketball since 1997, Berwick High School Coach Sean Comeaux said, noting that current senior Larenz Clark’s father was on the 1997 squad.
