The Berwick Lady Panthers defeated Patterson, 9-1, in District 8-3A softball action in Berwick Tuesday. Berwick broke a 1-all tie with four runs in the bottom of the fourth. The Lady Panthers built upon their 5-1 lead with one run in the fifth and three in the sixth. Berwick outhit Patterson, 13-5, while Patterson committed three errors to Berwick’s two miscues. Morgan Toups earned the win. In seven innings, she surrendered one earned run on five hits with one strikeout. Offensively, Bronwyn Colbert and Morgan Toups led the Berwick offense.
