Berwick tops Ascension Episcopal 41-22 Monday

The Berwick Panthers cruised past Ascension Episcopal 41-22 in their season opener at Berwick Monday. The Panthers led 13-5 after a quarter, 25-7 at halftime and 38-16 after three periods of play. Dayton Clark led Berwick with a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Blain Louviere had 10 points, five steals and five assists. Berwick (1-0) will return to action Thursday when it hosts Westminster. Junior varsity boys’ action will begin at 5 p.m. with varsity girls and varsity boys’ action to follow.
