The Berwick High School Panthers got off to a slow start Friday but quickly regrouped en route to a 55-19 thrashing of the Erath Bobcats in both teams’ District 8-3A opener.
While Berwick was forced to punt on its first possession and looked as if it would on its second drive as quarterback Mitchell Sanford started the game 0-for-4 passing, the Panthers quickly regrouped with a touchdown.
