Berwick to host Eunice this weekend best-of-3 series

The Berwick High School Panthers will look to qualify for the Allstate Sugar Bowl/Louisiana High School Athletic Association Baseball State Tournament when it hosts Eunice this weekend in a best-of-three quarterfinal series. Berwick (25-8) enters the series ranked No. 4 in Class 3A, while Eunice (29-8) is ranked No. 5. The teams will meet Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at noon. An if-necessary game is scheduled for Saturday at 3 p.m. The Panthers’ road to the quarterfinal series includes three straight run-rule victories.
