Berwick to host Ascension Episcopal for homecoming

Berwick High School will look to bounce back from its first defeat of the season when it hosts Ascension Episcopal Friday for homecoming. The Panthers (3-1) fell a week ago to Newman in a battle of undefeated squads in Berwick. Berwick fell behind 20-0 to Newman and trailed 23-7 heading into halftime. While the Panthers outscored the Greenies 20-14 in the second half, it wasn’t enough. This week, the squad will face an Ascension Episcopal team that is ranked No. 9 in the latest Louisiana Sports Writers Association Class 2A poll.
