Berwick edges Patterson, 6-5, in 10 innings

It took almost three-complete extra innings to settle the first of two District 8-3A contests between Berwick and Patterson, but in the bottom of the 10th, Berwick scored the game-winning run on an error for a 6-5 victory Wednesday in Berwick. With one out in the bottom of the 10th, Berwick’s Mitchell Sanford singled to left field, stole second and third base and scored on an error. Patrick Robertson, the third of three Berwick pitchers used, earned the win. In two innings, he surrendered one hit and fanned two. Fabre, the second Patterson pitcher used, suffered the loss.
