Berwick, CCHS finish weekend 2-0

The Berwick Panthers finished 2-0 this weekend at the Tri-City Baseball Classic with wins against Ellender Friday and Hanson Memorial Saturday. Friday, Berwick defeated Ellender 9-2. Berwick led 2-1 after an inning, extended its lead to 3-1 in the second and 6-1 in the third. The Panthers added three more runs in the sixth, and Ellender concluded the game’s scoring with a run in the bottom of the seventh. Evan Thomas earned the win and led the Panthers’ offense.
