St. Mary, St. Martin and Assumption had one of the worst COVID days of the pandemic on Friday, when 95 new cases and one local death were reported in the three local parishes.
Thirty-one new COVID cases and one fatality in Assumption Parish were reported in three local parishes for the 48 hours leading up to midday Thursday.
The number of COVID-19 cases reported locally Tuesday followed state statistics upward.
Only three new COVID-19 cases and no new fatalities were reported for three local parishes at midday Monday.
Twenty-six new COVID-19 cases, half of them in St. Mary, and one fatality in St. Martin were reported for the 48 hours ending at midday Sunday.
