A 25-year-old Siracusa man was charged with simple burglary Monday after Morgan City police responded to a burglary in progress at a Terre-bonne Street home, Police Chief James Blair said in a news release.
—Christopher A. Sylvester, 25, of James Street in Siracusa, was arrested at 10:07 p.m. Monday on the charge of simple burglary.
Police responded to the area of Terrebonne Street in regard to a report of a burglary in progress. Officers arrived, and Sylvester was identified as a suspect of forcibly gaining entry into the home and stealing a cellular phone belonging to the victim.
