The Wiley College men’s basket-ball team overcame a double-digit deficit in the second half but couldn’t pull out a victory in a 91-90 loss at 25th-ranked Dillard University Saturday.
The Wildcats (3-6) trailed by 13 with 14:36 left in the game. Travious Grubbs scored six points to spark an 11-2 run. Patterson High alum and Wiley College senior point guard Taylan Grogan, who scored 18 points in the first half, scored his first points of the second half to cut Dillard’s lead to two with 8:43 left.
