Hidalgo to play at UL-Lafayette as a preferred walk-on

At a signing ceremony for two of his baseball players, Mitchel Lemoine and Blake Hidalgo, Central Catholic Baseball Coach Tyler Jensen called Hidalgo “probably one of the most underrated players in the state.” Hidalgo, who will be headed to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette as a preferred walk-on this coming year, will get the opportunity to show colleges what they missed out on when he heads to the Sun Belt Conference program next year. “Over the last three years, (he’s) kind of been overshadowed,” Jensen said. “Finally this year, he got the due respect that he deserved. … It ...
