Former Morgan City High School hoops standout Makye Richard always has wanted to attend Xavier University, but hasn’t been able to.
Central Catholic will host the 2019 Eagle Tournament, an event featuring eight high school boys basketball teams, beginning Thursday, Jan. 3, and continuing through Saturday.
Area basketball teams were busy during the holiday break.
Three area schools, Berwick High, Patterson High and Central Catholic, saw basketball action Dec. 27.
Tennessee and Auburn shared the Southeastern Conference regular-season championship last year and head into league competition as prime contenders for the title again.
