A groundbreaking for the remodeling of the newly renamed Jimmy Johnson Memorial Park was held Tuesday at the basketball court at Fourth and Greenwoods streets under the U.S. 90 overpass in Morgan City. A groundbreaking ceremony was held Tuesday to refurbish and rename a local basketball court in honor of a longtime Morgan City Recreation Department volunteer who died recently.
