WILLIAM 'BILL' WILLIS TAYLOR

March 11, 1938 — February 12, 2023

William “Bill” Willis Taylor, age 84, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023, in Rockwall, Texas. Bill was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on March 11, 1938, to William Floyd Taylor and Mildred K. (Willis) Taylor.

After graduating high school in Centralia, Illinois, he attended Oklahoma A&M University and Northwestern Oklahoma State University. In 1960, Bill accepted a position in the energy industry and moved to south Louisiana where he met and married the love of his life, Charlette Mae Amador.

Bill and Charlette were transferred many times throughout his career, sending them to various cities in Louisiana, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Nevada. He loved reminiscing about his days serving customers and working with top-notch colleagues. One of Bill’s greatest joys came upon retiring after 39 years in the energy industry and moving to Texas to be near his son Bill and his family. He was a devoted husband, father and a wonderful grandfather to his two grandchildren, rarely missing their events. His kindness, sweet spirit and fun nature will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his son Bill Taylor and his wife Jennifer Taylor of Rockwall, Texas; two grandchildren, Kate Taylor and Carson Taylor of Rockwall; brother, John Taylor and his wife Sarah Taylor of Edmond,

Oklahoma; and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Charlette Taylor, and his parents.

Services were under the direction of Rest Haven Funeral Home in Rockwall, TX.
